Buy 29101 telegram No.71 of 10th August, 1934, regarding Messrs.

K.M.A. Barnett and J.C. McDouall, informing me that

the seniority of these two Cadets had been determined

by the Colonial Administrative Service Course Examin-

ation Board, and to request that I may be informed what

should be the seniority inter se of the three Cadet

officers Messrs. C.B. Burgess, H.J. Cruttwell and R. Edwards who were selected or provisionally selected for appointment to the Colonial Administrative Service

in 1932.

Of these officers Mr. Burgess (vide your despatch No.339 of 28th September, 1932) proceeded direct to this Colony without spending any time on probationary training in England and arrived on 17th

November, 1932. Mr. Cruttwell (vide your despatch

1028 on 38807 CR. No.262 of 6th July, 1933) attended a course of instruct-

ion at Cambridge University where, according to the report of a Board, he made satisfactory progress. Mr. Cruttwell arrived in this Colony on 9th August, 1933. Mr. Edwards, who had been provisionally selected for
